Vera Baklashova received her degree in Physics and her PhD degree in Molecular Physics from Moscow State University. She joined the Russian office team of Intel in April 1997 as a Marketing Manager. For 16 years she held different positions and in 2007 joined the external communication department in Russia and CIS. In 2008 she undertook internship in the WA (World Ahead) department in the Asian region and took part in trying the “1 student – 1 computer” pattern.

In 2009 – 2012 Vera worked on developing education programs in Russia and Kazakhstan and since 2013 she is focused on strategic development of education programs in Russia.

As Education Program Manager Vera is responsible for forming the development strategy of Intel’s education programs for teachers and students. She is responsible for such programs as “Education for the Future”, “Learning with Intel”, “School research labs for schoolchildren, STEM-centers”, ISEF, “Centers for Competence of Intel Programs” and other. The main goal of these programs is demonstration and providing practical support for complex use of ICT by teachers and students not only at school but at open classrooms and after-school activities, in summer camps and research labs for unlocking the creative potential and abilities of the students and also nurturing new skills and obtaining necessary knowledge.
